- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 2 tsp mayonnaise
- 4 oz dried beef, finely chopped (divided)
- 1 tsp yellow mustard
- 1 tsp dried minced onion
Instructions
- Soften cream cheese: Soften cream cheese in the microwave.
- Prep dried beef: Finely chop the dried beef into small pieces. Reserve ¼ of the chopped beef in a small dish for coating.
- Combine ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, yellow mustard, dried minced onion, and the remaining ¾ of the chopped dried beef. Mix thoroughly until smooth.
- Form the ball: Use your hands to shape the mixture into a firm, tight ball.
- Coat the outside: Roll the cheese ball in the reserved dried beef until the entire surface is coated.
- Refrigerate: Wrap tightly in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1–2 hours before serving to allow the flavors to meld and the cheese ball to firm up.
